Medieval style painted bird glass panel by Muna Zuberi
This panel is a replica of a panel in St Denys Church in Stanford-on-Avon. It is painted using the ‘smear’ technique - the way shading was applied by medieval glass painters. The shading or smear under the wings and over the breast and belly of the eagle is applied with single strokes of a wide brush. The trace lines are then painted over the top.
